School News:

  • Re-enrollment for the 2018-19 school year begins next Monday, February 4th. To re-enroll your child, sign in to your Parent Web.  From the left menu, choose Apply/Enroll and then Enrollment/Reenrollment. At the top select “Click here to open Online Enrollment”. Select the Start Enrollment Packet. If you have a new student that is enrolling, choose Apply/Enroll and then Application. At the top select “Click here to open Online Application”. Select “Create a New Student Application”. You will also receive an email by the end of this week with re-enrollment details. Please complete this process on your computer rather than a phone for optimal success. 


  • CCS Juniors and Seniors are selling gourmet Caramel Apples (with or without nuts) for $12 and Turtles for $6/half dozen or $10/dozen. This is a fundraiser to raise money for Spring Formal and the Senior Trip. Please see a Junior/Senior, Mrs. Turner, Miss Crotts, or the school office to place your order. The last day to order is February 4th, and goodies will be ready for pickup on February 13th, just in time for Valentine’s Day!


  • CCS is hosting a Home and Garden Improvement Fair with Creata Stone in the gymnasium this Saturday, February 2nd, 10:00am-5:00pm. What a great day to stop by the school and get ideas for your up-coming home and garden improvements. The event is FREE for guests. If you are a vendor and would like to join the event to showcase your business, please contact James Tucker (251) 895-4887. Vendor registration proceeds benefit the Russell Shelton Scholarship Fund.  


  • K5 Cap and Gown Graduation pictures are scheduled for Thursday, February 7th, at 8:30am. Please make sure that your student is here on time! 


  • CCS will host a school-wide Open House on Monday, February 25th, 4:30-6:30pm. Please spread the word to your friends who may be interested in Christian education. 


  • The next Auction Committee Meeting is at 3:30pm next Wednesday, February 6th.


  • Trail Life AL-1413 will be having an Open House here on campus at Central Community Church from 6:30-8:00pm. Trail Life is a Christ-centered, outdoor adventure program focused on mentoring and discipling 5-18 year old boys. For more info please visit http://www.traillifeusa.com


  • The Bookstore is having a 50% Off Sale on all used uniforms today through Thursday, January 31st. Hours are 9am-5pm. 


  • SAVE THE DATE – The 2nd Annual Hearts and Minds Auction will be Friday, March 29th, at the Daphne Civic Center! Tickets go on sale soon!



CCPA:

  • Box Tops are being collected and the final DUE DATE is February 15th! Bring your baggies of Box Tops or dimes (each Box Top is worth 10 cents). Make sure your name and grade is on your baggie and turn these in to your teacher or drop in our new BOX TOP MAILBOX in the office.   1st-6th grade can win a pizza party for the class that collects the most.Preschool, please take your Box Tops directly to your preschool class. All Box Top money will go to provide for educational needs in our classrooms.


  • Please save your Greer’s receipts when you shop at Greer’s! We can receive computers, audio-visual aids, science supplies, sports equipment, books, and other teaching tools FREE. To earn these FREE awards, we simply have to collect as many register receipts as possible from September 1st, 2018 through March 16, 2019.  Ask your friends and relatives to save their receipts too! Send receipts to school weekly in an envelope marked CCPA-Apples for the Students to help our school earn awards!


Mission:

  • Calling ALL 7th-12th grade GIRLS!!! Our annual COMPLETE Girls Conference is March 1-2, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Birmingham. Join over 600 teenage girls for a weekend of solid Bible teaching, missionary testimonies, authentic worship and breakout sessions on today’s cultural topics. Make new friends and have a great time! Cost is $90 including hotel lodging, transportation, registration, 2 meals, snacks and a t-shirt! Registration with payment is due February 15th (no late registrations). Moms are welcome to go! Team SPLASH Mission Team:

  • If you ordered Boston Butts from the Mission Team SPLASH it will be ready for pickup this Friday, February 1st, at CCS. Pick up time is from 2:30-5:30pm in the Cafeteria. Contact Mrs. Bartholomew for any questions at sbartholomew@ccssaints.com or stop by the office. 


  • Due to technical issues with our digital sign, birthday announcements are on temporary hold and will be resolved as soon as possible. Please stay tuned. 


Athletics:

  • CCS will be hosting the West Regional Tournament on Friday and Saturday, February 8th and 9th. The athletic department will be asking players to bring in items to help supply the hospitality room during the tournament. 


  • The Winter Sports Banquet for MS/JV/Varsity Basketball and Cheerleading will be held Tuesday, February 19th, 6:00-8:00pm at the PZK Hall in Robertsdale. Dinner will be a potluck. CCS Athletic Department will supply the meat (chicken), tea, and coffee.
