Congratulations to the CCS Spelling Bee winners: Ayden Lippincott - 1st Place, Faith Sengvixay - 2nd Place, and Londyn Naquin - 3rd Place. Well done, all participants! Ayden will represent Central Christian at the Baldwin County Spelling Bee.

Please be attentive to the uniform dress code attached. Several areas that need attention are: 1) Skirt length for ladies (top of knee), 2) Outerwear guidelines (logo size must fit under a post-it note), 3) Belts must be worn with pants for 1st-12th grade boys, and 4) Shoes (solid plain black tennis shoes for preschool-4th grade boys and solid black or brown leather shoes for everyone else).

Beginning tomorrow, the entrance to the elementary car line near the church building will be closed at 7:53am to facilitate students being on time to class. Staff will continue to open car doors in the elementary car line until 7:55am as usual. Please be sure to arrive and get in car line before 7:53am so that your student isn’t late.

Elementary students should NOT have phones at school unless rare administrative approval is given due to unique circumstances.

In an effort to maximize the quality of our students’ instructional time and to respect your family time and our teachers’ family life, elementary office hours will be 3:30-7pm Monday through Friday. Phone calls, messages or emails made outside of these hours, unless an emergency, will be returned the next business day.

Debate Club starts tomorrow from 3:15pm-4:15pm in Mrs. Kirby’s room. Come learn the basics of formal and informal debate. Have fun arguing and proving your points. Homecoming/Spirit Week is January 25-29. The 2021 theme is “Let it Snow!”. Each day that week students may be out of uniform dressing according to a different theme. No shorts or leggings are allowed (unless worn under an appropriate skirt) during dress-out days.
Monday is “Warm and Cozy” (sweaters, flannel, jeans, beanies, gloves, boots).
Tuesday is Favorite Christmas Character (from a movie or otherwise).
Wednesday is Blue and Gold Day.
Thursday is “Snowed In”- Pajamas and Pancake Breakfast Day.
Friday is “Winter White” - wear all WHITE. There will be an afternoon pep rally at 2:00pm and the White Out game that night!

The Junior and Senior classes are doing a fundraiser to raise money for Spring Formal and their senior trip. They will be selling one dozen chocolate covered strawberries for $15, ½ dozen turtles for $6, and one dozen turtles for $10. The deadline to order is February 5. All gourmet treats will be delivered on February 12. Please see a Junior or Senior to purchase your gourmet treats for Valentine’s Day! You can also purchase them from Mrs. Fresh or Mrs. Turner.
